written by my good friend Frank Somma:
Last week my good friend Pete Fanizzi offered me this story after reading my weekly message:
About your blog "call the customer back"
You learn something from good news and from bad news .."Always room to improve!"I was at a local HS Freshman team basketball game the other day. (You how know I relate everything to sports)
The score was 60-25. Needless to say this was a one sided affair.
Guess who was the most vocal coach till the very end of the game? It was the winning coach.
Even the substitutes were made to feel that they were expected to perform a certain way in every game regardless of whether they were winning or losing. What matters is knowing the right way to play the game and the wrong way to play the game. I often wonder why this is not clear to everyone in everyday life.
It is pretty simple concept, if life was easy there would be no reason to keep working at it everyday.
What fun would that be?The best of the best focus on the doing not the outcome. They see the next pitch rather than the scoreboard. As Pete says it is a simple concept in life. Focusing on the tasks each day to the best of your ability will bring you the long-term outcomes you want. Focusing only on the outcomes will have you seeking shortcuts but the short part will be, “short of your goals”

2011 Motto..."Be the change you want to see. A good life is always inside out."
SUNSHINE IS A GOOD THING
BUT WHEN SKIES ARE GREY
IT IS NICE TO KNOW THE OWNER!
Did you ever really sit down and think about all the people you have met in your life?
If you're in any type of business you have probably met thousands of people?
I guess what I am trying to say is every moment of our lives is an opportunity, when skies are sunny it seems like I can do
or say anything and everyone thinks it is ok.
When the weather gets a litttle bit rough you might say one thing and boy how that one thing gets under the skin of someone.
You get the picture ..
What I want to say is with www.mygoingplacestravel.com
you really do know the owner. No hard sell here but if you know what you want you simply have to tell me.
I will help and try to make any of your decisions a bit easier for you.
I recently had a nice young customer (under 30 is now young for me)
tell me I did a nice trip with a fair price last time I helped her. That was 5 years ago.
How nice that some people really do remember you. If there is one thing I must make perfectly clear www.mygoingplacestravel.com
has withstood the changes and all the negative gossip about the travel business. The facts remain are you going to spend $5000, $10,000
on a vacation with someone you know or someone who you found online and do not know?
I'm counting on more customers knowing me and feeling comfortable while spending on their family vacation, trip of a lifetime or
50th anniversary celebration. I know if I am spending this kind of money I want to know who I am giving it to?
I think we are all alike in this regard.
So keep the sunshine flowing and do not forget you know someone in the business .
